  • This is a brilliant gift for the foodie and bacon lover! In just a week, with 15 minutes of input, you can make 3 flavours of proper dry cured bacon and it’s going blow your taste buds away. First - go and see your butcher and ask for 1/2 kilo of skin off Pork - Belly/Streaky is best but you can also use Loin. Everything else is in the kit along with the easy to follow instructions. Using the instruction place 500g of pork in the curing bag, add the chosen cure (Sweet, Smokey or Original) and rub it in. Seal the bag and place it in the fridge leaving it there for 4 days (Flip in over after 2). Then take the pork out, wash and dry it then hang it in the muslin from the butcher’s hook in the fridge for a further 3 days. That’s it - you are ready to go! Slice that bacon and get it in the pan. You have cured your own bacon!
